Jumeirah is expanding its exclusive hospitality offering with a new Jumeirah Privé Experience aboard the Maltese Falcon, one of the world’s most iconic sailing superyachts. In December 2026, the celebrated sailing yacht will embark on a transatlantic crossing from the Canary Islands to Antigua.

The departure from Gran Canaria is scheduled between December 1 and 5, 2026. The journey will include approximately ten days at sea, followed by a stay of up to three days in Antigua. The concept is to make the voyage itself the true focus of the experience, allowing the ocean, the rhythm of each day, and life on board to shape the journey towards the Caribbean.

The crossing will take guests from the European autumn towards the warmer climate of the Caribbean. As the days unfold, the landscape will gradually change: daylight hours will lengthen, temperatures will become milder, and the blue of the Atlantic will accompany the journey until Antigua comes into view, framed by emerald-green hills and crystal-clear waters.

On board, Jumeirah will bring its distinctive philosophy of luxury hospitality to the ocean voyage. Personalised service will be complemented by carefully curated culinary experiences, dedicated wellness offerings, and a range of spaces designed to allow guests to enjoy life at sea in complete comfort.

The Maltese Falcon offers a particularly spectacular setting. Its facilities include a three-deck atrium with a skylight, an elegant panoramic staircase surrounding the main mast, an open-air cinema projected onto the lower sail, a rotating circular sunbed on the flybridge, and a dedicated wellness area with a gym and massage room.

Launched in 2006, the Maltese Falcon has received more than 18 awards for its design, technological innovation, and craftsmanship. Its most distinctive feature is the DynaRig sailing system, comprising three independently rotating carbon-fibre masts capable of deploying 2,400 square metres of sail in just six minutes.

A recent and extensive refit has also renewed the yacht’s interior and exterior spaces, introducing aesthetic updates and state-of-the-art engineering technologies. With a maximum capacity of 12 guests, the Maltese Falcon features a full-beam owner’s suite, a private VIP deck on the flybridge with direct access to the terrace, and four double cabins, all with private bathrooms.

The transatlantic crossing itself is not entirely new to the Maltese Falcon. The yacht has undertaken this route for many years as part of its seasonal repositioning between the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. What is new, however, is that the crossing has never previously been offered to guests as a travel experience.

The opportunity to experience the entire crossing on a full-charter basis therefore introduces an entirely new dimension. The experience will be reserved for a single private group, allowing guests to enjoy the yacht and the Atlantic crossing in an atmosphere of complete exclusivity.

The initiative forms part of Jumeirah’s strategy to develop increasingly personalised luxury experiences, where the destination itself is only part of the journey and the way in which it is reached becomes equally important. For around ten days, the voyage will therefore revolve entirely around the ocean: the Maltese Falcon, the wind, the sails, and the Atlantic horizon will become an integral part of the destination before the yacht reaches Antigua. The price of the Jumeirah Privé Experience is available upon request.
