Silversea: Silver Endeavour joins the fleet

Silversea Cruises welcomes Silver Endeavour to its fleet, one of the world’s most luxurious expedition ships.

Specifically designed to take travellers to the world’s most remote destinations, including as far as both polar regions, Silver Endeavour will enter service in November 2022, replacing Silver Explorer from the 2022/2023 Antarctic season, including popular ‘Antarctica Bridge’ cruises.

Silver Endeavour will accelerate our growth strategy, enriching our offering to unprecedented levels and reaffirming our position as a leading ultra-luxury expedition cruise line,” Roberto Martinoli, President and CEO of Silversea Cruises, stated.

“The expedition cruise industry is poised to resume accelerated growth, driven by demand among high-end and affluent customers travelling to remote and difficult-to-access destinations. Silver Endeavour will strengthen our polar offering, further diversifying our wide-ranging product. With the continued support of Royal Caribbean Group, we are enhancing the cruise experience for our guests, unlocking the world’s most rewarding destinations in a way that only Silversea can do.”

“To honour the spirit of expedition voyages, we have renamed the ship Silver Endeavour, commemorating one of the most famous ships in history,” Barbara Muckermann, Chief Commercial Officer, Silversea Cruises, said.

Built according to Polar Class PC6 specifications, Silver Endeavour offers state-of-the-art amenities, with an industry-leading Zodiac-to-guest ratio; kayaking; and state-of-the-art navigation and exploration technology, including a remote gimbal camera system capable of capturing high-quality images from 5km. She will also maintain Silversea‘s characteristic level of luxury, with a crew-to-guest ratio of approximately 1:1.

Featuring eight decks, Silver Endeavour offers guests the most spacious accommodations in the expedition cruising industry, while upholding Silversea‘s characteristic level of comfort; multiple restaurants, bars and lounges; an extensive spa; a two-storey sundeck with a swimming pool and whirlpool; and a range of indoor and outdoor viewing areas. It promotes an intimate atmosphere on board, while also allowing guests to discover destinations such as Antarctica in depth, with plenty of interactions between travellers and Silversea‘s expedition experts.

As part of the ongoing RCL Cares programme, Royal Caribbean Group will be protecting guest deposits originally booked on Crystal Endeavor as well as re-booking on one of the Group’s global brands – Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea Cruises.
