Seabourn Pursuit Sets Sail on Its Inaugural Voyage

Seabourn Pursuit, Seabourn‘s second ultra-luxury expedition ship, embarked on its maiden journey and welcomed its first guests on board on Saturday, August 12, 2023, with an eight-day itinerary from La Valletta, Malta, to Rome.

“For 10 years, we have provided engaging expedition experiences with our team of experts, and now we have two cutting-edge ultra-luxury expedition ships: Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit. These ships offer extraordinary experiences to our discerning guests,” stated Natalya Leahy, President of Seabourn. “Our guests will discover natural wonders and incredible wildlife in the most remote destinations, led by our expert expedition team, all while indulging in our distinctive ultra-luxury style on our stunning new vessel.”

Seabourn Pursuit is designed to cater to guests seeking exceptional experiences combined with moments of comfort and luxury. The ship will also offer the numerous Seabourn amenities that guests know and love, including renowned dining options, entertainment, luxurious suites, and personalized service from the onboard team.

Designed and built to PC6 Polar Class standards for remote and diverse environments, Seabourn Pursuit is equipped with world-class facilities that enable it to offer a wide range of guided expedition activities led by a team of 24 experts, including scientists, scholars, naturalists, and more.

The ship boasts nearly 2800 square meters of deck space, both indoor and outdoor areas with almost 270-degree views, and a 4K GSS Cineflex camera mounted on the Constellation Lounge mast, capable of transmitting images over miles to monitors throughout the ship and in guest suites. Like the rest of the Seabourn fleet, it offers ample space and elegance, featuring eight dining venues serving gourmet cuisine and luxurious all-suite accommodations, including a pair of two-level Wintergarden suites.

The ship is also equipped with SpaceX’s Starlink Wi-Fi connectivity, providing its guests with enhanced service, increased connectivity, and reliability wherever Starlink services are available.

Between August and October, Seabourn Pursuit will embark on five Mediterranean journeys and two voyages across the Atlantic and the Caribbean. On October 10, 2023, the ship will arrive in Barbados to commence its expedition voyages, taking guests to remote corners of the globe. It will then head south for expeditions in South America, the Amazon, and Antarctica until the end of March 2024.

From June to August 2024, after its inaugural Antarctic season, the ship will traverse the islands of the Southern Pacific and eventually head to Australia, exploring the Kimberley region in the Northern Territory and Western Australia. The iconic Kimberley, with its red sandstone gorges, rivers, waterfalls, wildlife, and Aboriginal history, provides the ideal setting for a unique expedition experience. In addition to Kimberley, Seabourn Pursuit will visit Papua New Guinea, Western Papua, Indonesia, and cross the Southern Pacific from Chile to Melanesia between March and October 2024.
