With a gross tonnage of 26,500, a length of 205 meters, and a beam of 24 meters, the ship will accommodate 270 guests in 135 suites, each with a private veranda, spread across five decks and ranging in size from 34 to 250 square meters. Scenic Ikon will offer a unique blend of refined design, culinary excellence, and all-inclusive luxury — hallmarks of Scenic Cruises. The vessel is engineered to operate seamlessly in both polar regions and tropical destinations, featuring Polar Code 6 certification and an Ice Class 1A Super reinforced hull. To make every expedition even more exclusive, it will be equipped with two Airbus H130-T2 helicopters, a Triton AVA-9 submarine, Zodiac boats for excursions, and luxurious superyacht-style Fassmer tenders.
Glen Moroney, Founder and Chairman of Scenic Group, stated that Scenic Ikon represents the culmination of more than three years of the company’s passion and innovation, with every detail crafted to deliver unforgettable experiences — from the waters of the Mediterranean to the ice fields of Antarctica. Construction is progressing on schedule: following the steel-cutting ceremony in February 2025, attended by Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, and the keel laying in May 2025, delivery is planned by the end of 2027.
Scenic Ikon’s inaugural voyage will depart from Venice in April 2028 — already sold out — with subsequent sailings seeing exceptionally high demand. The first season, running through March 2029, will visit 110 ports across 21 countries and 26 new destinations, including the Mediterranean, the Aegean, Egypt, the Cape Verde Islands, Dakar, Antarctica, the Falkland Islands, and the Chilean Fjords. On board, guests will enjoy a fully all-inclusive experience, featuring 15 distinctive dining venues, panoramic lounges, and contemporary social and relaxation spaces. Wellness will take center stage in the Senses Rejuvenation Spa, a 1,700-square-meter sanctuary spanning two decks, offering thermal treatments, hydrotherapy, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. Each voyage will include immersive excursions, exclusive events, and evening entertainment — combining exploration, comfort, and culture in perfect harmony.

Members of the Chairman’s Club, as well as guests staying in the Penthouse and Owner’s Suites, will enjoy these experiences free of charge — combining luxury, adventure, and discovery in perfect harmony. For those eager to explore the underwater world, the Scenic Neptune III submarine, custom-built by Triton Submarines, will offer breathtaking dives beneath the Antarctic ice and in other remote marine regions.
Ahead of the inaugural season, Scenic has announced a limited pre-launch fare offer, available for a select number of suites, ensuring the best value and exclusive benefits. Full details of the 2028–2029 Collection can be found on Scenic’s official website and in the digital Cruise Collection.
