CFC: a new cruise company is born

CFC, Compagnie Française de Croisières, a new French cruise company is born under the leadership of Clément Mousset, president and co-founder of the new company and Cédric Rivoire-Perrochat as COO.

The company will begin operations in February 2023, with an inaugural ceremony scheduled for February in Le Havre, ahead of the first cruise departure on February 10 aboard Renaissance, Holland America Line’s former Maasdam, which underwent a major refit in 2018.

The ship will then start its season from Le Havre, before moving to Marseille in September and most cruises will be 10 and 15 nights, but there are also some shorter cruises planned and a round-the-world voyage departing in early 2024.

Compagnie Française de Croisières is targeting the French premium market and the focus will be on a quality product with a French identity and all cruises will depart from French ports. With this clear focus on the local market, all crew will speak French and it is unlikely that they will open up to other nationalities.
