AROYA Cruises, the Arabian cruise line, is strengthening its digital strategy with the launch of a new native app for iOS and Android devices.

The launch follows the recent redesign of the company’s website and further expands the digital services designed to support guests throughout every stage of their journey. With the new application, AROYA becomes the first cruise line to offer a fully integrated, app-native booking journey, allowing guests to search for, book and manage their cruise directly from their smartphone, from start to finish.

The app is already available in English and Arabic on the Apple App Store and Google Play. The new platform provides guests with a dedicated digital touchpoint designed to support them from the booking stage through to embarkation, while also giving them access to a selection of services available during their cruise.

The new app integrates with AROYA’s recently redesigned website, complementing its functionality. While the online platform is primarily designed for cruise discovery, planning and booking, the app brings key services directly to guests’ mobile devices.

From launch, the new AROYA app enables guests to manage every stage of their journey in a simple and intuitive way. They can book new cruises and manage existing reservations, complete digital check-in to help streamline the embarkation process, and follow dedicated pre-cruise and post-cruise checklists. The app also provides access to selected offers and promotions and makes it easier for guests to manage their time onboard, from the daily programme and restaurant and venue reservations to events and spa and wellness bookings, as well as shore excursions, onboard offers and access to their guest folio.

Some onboard features can also be used without a paid Wi-Fi connection, helping to provide a smoother and more seamless experience at sea throughout the cruise.

Behind the guest-facing interface, the app is integrated with AROYA’s booking system, CRM and other operational systems. This integration supports a more consistent and seamless experience across the company’s various digital guest touchpoints, including the website, mobile devices, kiosks and digital signage systems.

The app’s development will continue with the introduction of additional features. Upcoming enhancements include onboard messaging supported by appropriate safeguards, assisted wayfinding throughout the ship and the ability to use a digital key to access the cabin.

Ala Tashkandi, Executive Commercial Director of AROYA Cruises, highlighted that the new mobile app has been developed to provide guests with a dedicated channel through which to engage with the company, making every stage of the journey simpler, more personalised and more connected. According to Tashkandi, the new digital tool reflects the attention to detail that defines the AROYA experience and reinforces the company’s commitment to creating a cruise experience increasingly aligned with the needs and preferences of today’s travellers.

With the launch of the new app, AROYA Cruises is taking another step in the digital transformation of the guest journey, providing a tool designed to support travellers before departure, throughout the cruise and across the different stages of their onboard experience. The aim is to create an increasingly integrated digital ecosystem that combines convenience, personalisation and continuity between services available online and those offered onboard.
