A-ROSA Expands Its Fleet with the addition of two ships

A-ROSA is expanding its fleet for the 2024 season with the addition of two ships, A-Rosa Alea and A-Rosa Clea, which will set sail from April on the Rhine, both to the north towards Amsterdam and Rotterdam, and to the south towards Basel and Strasbourg.

Starting in the 2025 season, one vessel will be transferred to the Seine in northern France and will sail from the heart of Paris to Le Havre on the Atlantic coast, replacing A-Rosa Viva, which will return to the Rhine. In 2026, the second ship will be relocated to the Gironde/Garonne region in Bordeaux, France.

Jörg Eichler, CEO of A-Rosa Flussschiff GmbH, commented: “We are really excited to have added two more ships to our fleet in such a short time. By the end of the 2023 season, we are expected to set new guest and revenue records, surpassing even the previous record year of 2019. This season, we have also consistently achieved high occupancy levels on all departures, and it seems very likely that we will establish a record level of over 90% compared to 2023. Furthermore, we expect to conclude the year with an annual revenue increase of over 40%.”

“The demand for bookings on the Rhine is the highest, so launching the ships on this river for the next season makes perfect sense.”

A-Rosa‘s two new ships will also offer cruises on the popular Moselle itinerary to Trier and will be available for booking from October 2023. Additionally, the vessels will follow the same successful culinary concept as A-Rosa Alva on the Douro in Portugal, for which A-Rosa has been particularly praised, along with onboard service, cabin quality, destinations and itineraries, as well as exciting shore excursions.
