Aman at Sea has announced the completion of Amangati’s inaugural Caribbean programme, introducing twelve additional itineraries scheduled between January and March 2028. The new voyages, ranging from five to eight nights, complement the previously announced autumn departures and bring the yacht’s first Caribbean season to a close on March 20, 2028.
With reservations now open for the entire season, Amangati will explore several of the Caribbean’s most fascinating destinations, combining renowned islands with more secluded locations. The programme includes the Leeward and Windward Islands, the Dutch Caribbean and the Greater Antilles, with new calls in the Dominican Republic and additional destinations in Martinique, Guadeloupe and the Grenadines. The Caribbean season will officially begin on November 21, 2027, following the yacht’s inaugural Mediterranean programme and its first Atlantic crossing from Malaga to Antigua.

Rather than concentrating exclusively on the Caribbean’s most established ports, Amangati’s itineraries reflect a philosophy centred on time, flexibility and a closer connection with each destination. The autumn programme will introduce guests to three distinct areas of the region. In the Leeward Islands, itineraries will include Saint Barthélemy, Saint Kitts and Nevis, the British Virgin Islands, Sint Maarten, Montserrat and Anguilla. A dedicated Marina Day in Barbuda will offer an opportunity to enjoy the yacht’s direct connection with the sea, while visits to smaller islands such as Saba will add a more intimate dimension to the experience. Further south, the Windward Islands itineraries will connect Antigua and Barbados with destinations including Dominica, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Canouan and Grenada. These voyages will offer a different Caribbean landscape, characterised by volcanic coastlines, lush vegetation and smaller communities where local traditions remain an essential part of the destination’s identity. The Dutch Caribbean programme will introduce another perspective, exploring Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao alongside the Tobago Cays and Grenada. The contrast between Willemstad’s colourful architecture, Bonaire’s marine environment and the largely untouched landscapes of the Grenadines will provide considerable variety throughout these southern itineraries. The autumn season will also include a special New Year’s celebration in Nevis, where Amangati will remain for two nights, allowing guests to welcome 2028 in a private resort setting.
The extension into January, February and March 2028 will bring twelve additional voyages and expand the geographical reach of the inaugural season. Among the most interesting additions are the Greater Antilles itineraries, which will introduce the Dominican Republic to Amangati’s programme. Departing from Philipsburg and sailing through the British Virgin Islands, the yacht will continue towards Hispaniola, calling at Samaná, Cap Cana and La Romana. These destinations offer different ways of discovering the Dominican coastline, from tropical landscapes and sheltered bays to beaches and established resort areas. The Windward Islands will also receive particular attention during the winter programme. New destinations include Saint-Pierre in Martinique, with its dramatic volcanic setting and historical heritage, Marie-Galante in Guadeloupe, known for its more traditional island atmosphere, and Bequia in the Grenadines, a destination closely associated with the Caribbean’s longstanding sailing culture. Returning calls at Dominica, Saint Lucia, Canouan and other established destinations will complement these additions, creating itineraries that balance familiar Caribbean highlights with opportunities for less conventional exploration. Further departures will revisit the Leeward Islands, including Gustavia, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, Montserrat and Barbuda, while the southern Caribbean itineraries will continue to feature the ABC islands and the Grenadines. An important element across the entire programme will be the emphasis on late departures, overnight stays and anchorages rather than conventional port calls. This approach is particularly relevant in a region where some of the most memorable experiences are found away from the main cruise terminals.
Before beginning her Caribbean season, Amangati will complete her inaugural Mediterranean deployment with four additional itineraries scheduled between October 10 and November 8, 2027. The final Mediterranean voyages will take the yacht through the Aegean, Adriatic and Ionian seas, along the Italian coastline and towards the western Mediterranean. Destinations will include Dubrovnik, Kotor, Sicily, Naples, the French Riviera and the Spanish coast, before the yacht reaches Malaga. From there, Amangati will embark on a thirteen-night Atlantic crossing, calling at Cadiz and Ponta Delgada in the Azores before continuing towards Antigua. This westbound passage will place particular emphasis on wellness, restoration and the experience of spending extended time at sea. Rather than viewing the crossing simply as a transfer between two cruising regions, Aman at Sea intends to make the voyage itself an integral part of the guest experience, with a programme dedicated to wellbeing and relaxation. A corresponding eastbound crossing will conclude the Caribbean season. Departing Antigua on March 20, 2028, Amangati will visit Philipsburg and Gustavia before crossing the Atlantic towards Madeira, arriving in Funchal on March 31.
Amangati represents an interesting addition to the increasingly competitive market for ultra-luxury small-ship cruising. Its concept is not based simply on offering a smaller vessel with exclusive facilities, but on translating Aman’s established hospitality philosophy into an environment where the journey and the destination become equally important. The yacht will accommodate guests in 47 ocean-facing suites, each with a spacious private terrace and full-height windows. This configuration places considerable emphasis on personal space and uninterrupted sea views, elements that naturally complement the slower pace of the itineraries. Spread across nine decks, the onboard experience will include four signature restaurants, numerous outdoor areas and a dedicated Suite Host service. Wellness will play a central role, with the Aman Spa designed to be the largest in its category within the luxury yachting sector. Each treatment room will feature its own private terrace and whirlpool, extending the wellness experience beyond the traditional spa environment. The yacht’s Marina will provide direct access to the water when conditions and anchorage arrangements allow, with kayaks, paddleboards and additional equipment available for guests. Limousine tenders will facilitate transfers ashore, particularly in destinations where anchoring offers a more attractive alternative to docking. Shore experiences will combine cultural discoveries, gastronomy, natural exploration and personalised activities, with further details of the programme expected to be announced.

The expansion of Amangati’s inaugural Caribbean season also reflects the growing interest in a style of cruising that prioritises destination immersion over the number of ports visited. In this context, the decision to include smaller islands, extended calls and dedicated time at anchor is particularly significant. The Caribbean offers an exceptional environment for this type of experience, with short distances between islands, diverse cultures and numerous locations that can be appreciated more fully from a yacht rather than a conventional cruise ship. Naturally, the real distinction will depend on how these concepts are delivered once the yacht enters service. The balance between personalised hospitality, onboard comfort and authentic destination experiences will be essential in defining Amangati’s position within the ultra-luxury segment. With its first Mediterranean season, two Atlantic crossings and an extended Caribbean deployment now available for reservation, Amangati is preparing for a debut that could introduce a distinctive interpretation of luxury travel at sea.
