Star Seeker: A New Chapter of Luxury at Sea

Windstar Cruises is preparing to write an exciting new chapter in its story with the debut of Star Seeker, the new yacht set to enter service in December 2025.

Characterized by refined design and spaces conceived to ensure comfort, intimacy, and authentic connection with the sea, this new ship marks an evolution of the Star Class experience. Recently released exclusive images offer a first glimpse of Star Seeker’s interiors, revealing elegant and welcoming spaces that redefine the concept of luxury cruising. With an itinerary that will take her from the Caribbean to Alaska and then on to Asia, Star Seeker promises a journey that goes far beyond mere travel: it is an immersive experience of sophisticated comfort and extraordinary landscapes.

At the helm of the design project is Jessica Payne, the designer entrusted with creating spaces that blend aesthetics, functionality, and a sense of “home away from home.” The released images showcase environments where natural light plays a central role, thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows and strategically placed skylights.

One of the ship’s most iconic areas is the Yacht Club Café, a bright and airy space perfect for relaxing with a drink or a casual meal. Seating is arranged to encourage both social interaction and silent contemplation of the ocean. The indoor bar—focal point of the café—will serve everything from morning coffee to evening cocktails, creating a dynamic setting that adjusts to guests’ rhythms.

The Main Lounge presents a more sophisticated aesthetic, with neutral tones enlivened by green accents. Comfortable armchairs, sofas, and bar seating offer a variety of ways to unwind after a day of excursions. This space reflects Windstar’s approach to the idea of an intimate community, providing common areas that maintain an atmosphere of tranquility and exclusivity.

The Amphora Restaurant continues in the same style, with blue tones evoking the sea and large windows allowing guests to dine while enjoying spectacular views. Seating options include both intimate booths and traditional tables, offering a personalized and memorable dining experience.

What makes Star Seeker an extraordinary addition to the Windstar fleet is its ability to offer discreet and personalized luxury. With only 112 suites—nearly all featuring private verandas or panoramic windows that open to let in the sea breeze—the ship aims to preserve the warm atmosphere that has made the company renowned. Each suite is designed as a private retreat: spacious, meticulously detailed, and intended to welcome guests into an embrace of comfort and style. The materials used, the soothing colors, and modern amenities create a refined but never ostentatious environment. The new accommodations strike a perfect balance between privacy and connection to the sea.

Gastronomy is one of the cornerstones of the Windstar experience, and aboard Star Seeker it will be further enriched with the introduction of the specialty restaurant Basil + Bamboo, where Mediterranean cuisine meets Asian flavors in a surprising and innovative fusion. Alongside this new addition, the company’s already-iconic restaurants will continue to offer dishes prepared with fresh ingredients and impeccable service.

Following the naming ceremony scheduled for January 15, 2026, Star Seeker will begin her inaugural season sailing through the Caribbean, offering sun-drenched and enchanting itineraries. In the summer, she will move on to the cold and majestic waters of Alaska, gifting passengers with spectacular scenes of glaciers and wildlife. Afterwards, she will continue her journey to Asia, including ports in Japan and other captivating destinations across the continent. This variety of itineraries reflects Windstar’s adventurous spirit and its commitment to helping guests discover the world authentically—off the beaten path and with exceptional attention to the quality of the experience.

With Star Seeker, Windstar Cruises invites guests to set sail toward a future where luxury, exploration, and authenticity blend in perfect harmony.
