Oceania Cruises is raising the bar once again with the announcement of an extensive refurbishment of Oceania Marina, one of the fleet’s most celebrated ships. Scheduled for autumn 2026, the project will encompass every area of the vessel, further enhancing the luxury experience on board.
The bow-to-stern renovation marks the first milestone of OceaniaNEXT, the cruise line’s fleetwide renewal program designed to progressively redefine the onboard experience across its ships. The initiative will touch every aspect of the guest experience—from interior design and culinary offerings to onboard services and activities—while preserving the high standards that define the Oceania Cruises brand.

The refurbishment of Oceania Marina also represents a key step in the evolution of the fleet. The goal is to create a seamless design continuity between the existing ships and the next generation of vessels, while preserving the hallmarks that have long distinguished Oceania Cruises: exceptional cuisine, thoughtfully curated itineraries, and attentive, personalized, and intuitive service.
The ship will enter dry dock in October 2026 for a comprehensive renovation. Every area of Oceania Marina will be redesigned to further enhance comfort, functionality, and elegance. All staterooms will be completely reimagined with new layouts, premium furnishings, and fully renovated bathrooms featuring marble finishes and spacious rainfall showers. The Penthouse Suites, Oceania Suites, Vista Suites, and Owner’s Suites will also receive a sophisticated refresh, ensuring consistency with the cruise line’s latest design standards.
Significant upgrades will also be introduced throughout the public areas. Bars and lounges will feature new furnishings, lighting, carpeting, and decorative elements, while the redesigned Grand Lounge will debut the new Founders Bar, an elegant venue dedicated to the art of mixology, where guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails, including barrel-aged Negronis and innovative gin creations.
The culinary experience will be further elevated with the introduction of the new Chef’s Studio, replacing the Artist Loft as the ship’s dedicated venue for cooking demonstrations, culinary classes, tastings, and chef-led experiences. Meanwhile, Baristas, the ship’s popular coffee bar, will be enhanced with The Bakery, a new concept offering freshly prepared croissants, French and Italian pastries, and artisanal baked goods throughout the day—perfect alongside a specialty coffee or an afternoon treat.
The refurbishment will also include the specialty restaurants Polo Grill, Red Ginger, Toscana, and Jacques, which will receive updated interiors and newly modernized professional kitchens, reaffirming Oceania Cruises’ commitment to the exceptional culinary standards behind its renowned "The Finest Cuisine at Sea" philosophy.
Outdoor spaces will also undergo a transformation. The pool deck will feature new loungers and daybeds designed to provide even greater comfort, allowing guests to relax while enjoying uninterrupted ocean views throughout their voyage.
Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises, explained that continuously raising standards is a core philosophy for the company rather than simply an objective. According to Montague, Oceania Cruises is constantly refining every aspect of the travel experience, from world-class dining to increasingly immersive destination experiences. Through the OceaniaNEXT program, he said, the cruise line reaffirms its commitment to contemporary luxury, ensuring that every ship reflects the sophisticated style, attention to detail, and innovation that define the brand and bring its philosophy of "The Joy of Traveling Well" to life.

Despite the extensive transformation, Oceania Cruises emphasizes that the essence of the onboard experience will remain unchanged. Exceptional service will continue to be one of the brand’s defining strengths, delivered by a dedicated crew committed to providing genuine, attentive, and personalized hospitality that makes every guest feel at home.
With the refurbishment of Oceania Marina, the cruise line enters a new chapter in its evolution, delivering an even more refined, elegant, and guest-centered travel experience.
