Four Seasons: The Innovative Marina by Tillberg Design
When elite design, revolutionary naval architecture, and hospitality converge, a new standard of luxury at sea is born. This is the case with Four Seasons I, the first yacht in the Four Seasons Yachts fleet, set to depart in 2026, which has unveiled the details of its extraordinary Marina Day experience.
A one-of-a-kind project, starting with the interiors designed by Tillberg Design of Sweden, one of the world’s most renowned yacht design studios. With a refined aesthetic, intelligent functionality, and a vision inspired by the sea-facing terraces of the French Riviera, Tillberg Design has created a space that exceeds expectations, transforming the “marina,” usually confined to the stern, into a central, scenic, and livable area where the boundary between ship and sea dissolves into a harmonious flow.

Fredrik Johansson, Partner and Executive Director of Tillberg Design of Sweden, explained that the goal of the project was to create a seamless connection with the water, combining elegance and functionality. Inspired by the relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere of the Riviera, the team wanted to bring on board a lifestyle capable of expressing the language of freedom and timeless beauty.
At the heart of the project is the transverse marina, an absolute novelty in the yachting world, which opens on both sides of the ship. Unlike traditional aft platforms, this space extends horizontally through the hull, with two retractable platforms (one on the left and one on the right) that transform into true floating docks over the sea.
The interior area, designed to host an elegant bar and a refined lounge, perfectly integrates with the outdoor spaces, reaching up to 676 m² of usable surface during dedicated days. Here the famous Marina Days will take place, scheduled on many Mediterranean and Caribbean itineraries of Four Seasons I, in dream locations such as Mayreau Island, Soufrière Bay, the Gulf of Squillace, or Monte Argentario.

The choice to design a transverse marina is not only aesthetic: it offers greater accessibility to the sea, better ship stability, and unprecedented functional versatility. The space, spread over two decks, can accommodate up to 105 guests and includes an extendable platform with a sea pool, sun loungers, and direct access to the water, perfect for activities, relaxation, and social moments.
The Swedish studio curated the entire interior concept, maintaining stylistic continuity with the onboard residential suites. Light woods, natural textures, neutral tones, and marine accents create a relaxing and sophisticated environment, where every detail, from ergonomic seating to technical material coverings, is designed to enhance the sensory and visual experience.
On days when the yacht is at anchor, the so-called Marina Days, this exclusive space transforms into a true aquatic playground. From dawn to dusk, guests can experience the sea in all its facets: sports, wellness, conviviality, and relaxation. The days start with outdoor yoga sessions, followed by energizing smoothies and meditation in the morning calm. The atmosphere gradually changes throughout the day, with soft music, bar service, and moments of sharing with a sea view.

Water activity enthusiasts can try electric hydrofoils, water bikes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and even pedalboards to explore bays and coves sustainably and quietly. The marina also features a protected saltwater pool integrated into the floating platform for those who want to stay close to the ship. In the afternoon, the marina comes alive as a floating social hub, with signature cocktails, music, and breathtaking views. The indoor lounge bar, air-conditioned yet open to nature, allows seamless alternation between indoor and outdoor moments.
Onboard Four Seasons I, destination exploration is also conceived exclusively. The Luxe Grand Touring Experience program offers two ways to reach coasts and ports with comfort and style: the Limo Tender and the Beachlander.
The Limo Tender, a custom-designed 10-meter vessel, offers personalized experiences with a private captain and full service. Ideal for intimate excursions, romantic outings, or private transfers to beaches and coves, the Limo Tender transforms every transfer into an extension of the onboard experience. For adventure lovers, the Beachlander, a high-speed Ribeye boat, provides access to exclusive beach clubs, coral reefs for snorkeling, and hidden spots reachable only by sea. An adrenaline-filled excursion, yet always in the spirit of elegance and comfort.
