Atlas Ocean Voyages unveils Atlas Adventurer Suites

Atlas Ocean Voyages has unveiled the suite collection of Atlas Adventurer, the world’s first luxury expedition yacht, set to launch in 2028. The yacht offers a fresh vision of exploration, reinterpreting the elegance of ocean travel for today’s discerning travelers.

Designed with a balance of sustainability and sophistication, Atlas Adventurer introduces an all-suite concept, combining spacious, residential-style accommodations with cutting-edge maritime technology. This unique approach invites guests to experience the spirit of an iconic era through a modern, immersive perspective.

The yacht’s design is not a mere revival, but a continuation of the most elegant chapter in ocean travel history, evoking 1930s transatlantic liners through proportions, artistic details, and understated opulence. Expansive social areas flow seamlessly into more intimate spaces, maintaining a continuous visual and sensory connection with the sea. Symmetry and rhythmic detailing create a natural sense of flow and internal harmony. Materials are layered with precision: polished marble contrasts with warm, high-gloss mahogany, while hand-finished metals reflect changing light throughout the day. Custom furnishings reference the sculptural discipline of Art Deco, achieving an expression of understated glamour that is timeless yet innovative.

This vision aligns with the philosophy of the Portuguese studio Oitoemponto, founded by Artur Miranda and Jacques Bec, entrusted with the yacht’s creative direction. Renowned for reinterpreting the grandeur of classic travel through an intimate, human-scale lens, the studio draws inspiration from the golden age of travel, developing a distinctive design language defined by warm modernism, material richness, and a harmonious dialogue between interiors and nature. For Atlas Adventurer, this approach results in a contemporary, expressive yet controlled aesthetic that fuses historical elegance with innovation. Grounded in craftsmanship, tactile materials, and a deep understanding of life on board, the design creates curated spaces that are refined, elegant, and highly functional. The interplay of texture, light, and proportion ensures a seamless transition between discovery and indulgence, defining a new expression of contemporary maritime design.

James A. Rodriguez, President and CEO of Atlas Ocean Voyages, stated that Atlas Adventurer represents a pivotal step for the brand and for expedition travel. He added that the ongoing collaboration with Oitoemponto enables the company to create an experience that balances the heritage of ocean travel with the expectations of today’s guests, offering intimate scale, advanced design, and a foundation in environmental responsibility.

The suite collection is organized into three main categories: the Signature Collection, Concierge Collection, and the prestigious Reserve Collection, designed to offer increasing levels of space and personalization. The yacht will feature a total of 200 suites, including 98 Signature Collection, 72 Concierge Collection, and an exclusive selection of 30 Reserve Collection suites.

At the top of the range, the Reserve Collection offers expanded premium accommodations, including luxurious two-bedroom Owner’s Suites and elegant Penthouse Suites. Some Penthouse Suites can connect to an adjacent Veranda Suite, creating a multi-room residence ideal for families or guests seeking additional space, while connecting configurations are also available in other categories.

The Concierge and Signature Collections emphasize spacious, refined accommodations designed to maximize comfort and onboard experience. Each suite embodies the brand’s all-suite philosophy, combining generous layouts, high-quality finishes, and a harmonious balance between indoor and outdoor spaces, ensuring guests enjoy an elegant and comfortable stay throughout the cruise.

Engineered for responsible exploration, Atlas Adventurer combines advanced engineering with environmental performance. Developed in collaboration with leading maritime engineers, the yacht is equipped with Wärtsilä engines and a triple-masted carbon-fiber rig with precision sails, optimizing propulsion and reducing fuel consumption. The combination of dual-fuel engines, electric-hybrid propulsion, and a 9-megawatt marine battery enables silent, low-emission sailing, providing a wind-assisted experience with minimal environmental impact even in the world’s most remote destinations. Designed for both comfort and performance, the yacht features zero-speed fin stabilizers and dual vertical stabilizers, ensuring exceptional stability at anchor and at sea. Part of the Atlas-class fleet, Atlas Adventurer will sail under the Portuguese flag with an Ice Class 1B hull (Polar Category C), allowing access to the most remote polar regions.

With a capacity of up to 400 guests and a crew of 274, Atlas Adventurer sets a new standard in luxury expedition yachts, where advanced technology meets considered design and environmental responsibility. Reservations for Atlas Adventurer will open on May 20, 2026, for Atlas Yacht Club members, with general availability following on June 10.

With Atlas Adventurer, Atlas Ocean Voyages continues to redefine expedition travel through innovative design, expanded accommodations, and a strong commitment to sustainability.
