Conrad Corfu: the new resort in the stunning Ionian Sea
Conrad Corfu is almost ready! This stunning resort, managed by Numo Hotels & Resorts and located on a secluded beach, will open in the second quarter of this year, a tribute to the island’s past with an eye on the future.
Built around an existing structure from 1986, the project was designed to preserve the façade’s arches and the U-shaped layout, creating a ground floor open to the coastline. Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed by a limestone floor, giving the impression of a contemporary Greek art gallery. A spectacular glass roof will allow natural light to flood the interior, leading to a marble corridor in Palladian style that guides visitors through a colonnade toward the water.

There will be 136 rooms, including suites and villas, a 200-meter-long beach, and both indoor and outdoor heated pools, as well as a unique Aqua Piazza lagoon. Guests will also enjoy restaurants, bars, a kids’ club, a wellness center, and a charming open-air cinema.
Privacy and well-being will be the guiding principles, with highly curated experiences, personalized service, and culinary mastery blending seamlessly with the island’s natural charm.
Conrad Corfu is located about an hour’s drive from the island’s historic center (a UNESCO World Heritage site) and close to the Achilleion Palace, a Belle Époque masterpiece with neoclassical terraces, gardens adorned with statues, and sweeping views of the Ionian Sea. The breathtaking beauty of this majestic palace transports visitors back in time, to when it was home to two iconic figures of European history: Empress Elisabeth of Austria (known as “Sisi”) and Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany. Both were passionate admirers of Greece, particularly Corfu and its culture. Empress Elisabeth built the palace to escape the rigidity of court life, and Wilhelm II purchased it following her untimely death.

The architecture and exterior design of Conrad Corfu have been created by Cube Concept, while the interiors are by Hotel IM. The hotel is owned by the Troulis family and will be operated by Numo Hotels. Spyros Kouris, CEO and Partner of Numo Hotels & Resorts, stated that with Conrad Corfu they are thrilled to collaborate once again with Hilton, taking an approach focused on building strong concepts. After Crete and Mykonos, Corfu becomes their new chapter: an alliance of Greek creatives and partners shaping a unique resort that honors its majestic setting.

The resort will preserve the southern charm that defines the area, with small harbors, olive groves, and a leisurely pace of life. Guest accommodations will start at 35 m², with many categories offering heated private pools, jacuzzis, or access to the Aqua Piazza. A rich cultural program will also be available, including guided walks, culinary workshops, and open-air cinema. The hotel will serve as a place of hospitality and gathering, with the Aqua Piazza at its heart a reflective lagoon designed for socializing rather than swimming.
The resort’s artistic program, “Anasynthesis,” will feature works commissioned from prominent Greek artists, creating a dialogue between the resort and Corfu’s layered history. The wellness program will include yoga, Pilates, and TRX, offered both indoors and outdoors, alongside spa rituals inspired by local plants.
