The enhanced International Day Pass powered by AT&T is now available on more than 200 ocean-going cruise ships operated by over 25 cruise lines, all supported by WMS technology. For $20 per day, the service activates automatically and offers passengers 500MB of high-speed data daily, with no overage charges, plus unlimited calls and texts. The pass remains active even during port stops, eliminating hidden fees and ensuring stable, uninterrupted connectivity throughout the entire journey.
Pramod Arora, President and CEO of WMS, emphasized that this offering is set to become the new benchmark for cruise connectivity, ushering in a new era of reliable, high-quality mobile communications for American cruisers while increasing value and satisfaction for industry partners.
As the cruise industry continues to grow—nearly 40 million passengers are expected by 2027, according to the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA)—the WMS and AT&T partnership aims to deliver increasingly advanced and accessible onboard connectivity experiences.
To ensure optimal connectivity during the cruise, WMS recommends that travelers plan their connectivity at least two weeks before departure, use cellular networks for moderate data consumption, and rely on the ship’s Wi-Fi for more intensive needs. It is also important to keep airplane mode off, enable international roaming before boarding, and close unnecessary apps, automatic updates, and location services.
