On the occasion of the CLIA Brazil event, one of the country’s leading cruise industry gatherings, Corazul presented a proposal inspired by the Mediterranean lifestyle to travel agents and industry professionals.
Launched in 2025, Corazul was designed for guests from Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking countries, aiming to emphasize cultural closeness and the characteristic atmosphere of Mediterranean travel. The company was created to focus on making time spent with family and friends truly special, while enhancing social experiences on board.

The company’s first ship, Buenavista, has a maximum capacity of 2,140 guests, along with 889 crew members, spread across 939 cabins. The ship’s spaces are designed for relaxation and to rejuvenate body and mind. The wellness and spa center is an oasis of beauty, balance, and well-being. From advanced facial treatments to traditional massages, Ayurvedic rituals to hydrotherapy, fitness sessions, and much more, everything is designed to make guests feel their best, inside and out.
The onboard experience also celebrates Mediterranean culture through flavors and lifestyle: life on board is enjoyed with joy, style, and soul. Entertainment and activities abound, including three swimming pools, a wellness and spa center, a theater and cinema, as well as five restaurants, eight bars, and various lounges—all spaces designed to make guests feel comfortable from day one.
For families, there are dedicated areas for children and a kids’ club with activities tailored specifically for them. On Buenavista, every generation finds its place. And when the ship docks, guests can enjoy excursions to discover iconic cities, hidden coves, and the authentic local life onshore.
Àlex Busquets, Vice President of Sales at Corazul, confirmed that the company’s market focus is closely linked to exceptional cuisine, social interaction, and shared experiences. These are exactly what Latin American travelers seek during their journeys: savoring the roots of Mediterranean culture.
Buenavista’s Mediterranean cruises will conclude in October, before arriving in Brazil in November. There, the ship will begin its Brazilian season with departures from the port of Santos.
The cruises will last three or four days, covering the southern coast of Brazil with stops in Rio de Janeiro, Santos, and Camboriú. From the energy and landmarks of Rio to the historic port city of Santos, and further south to Camboriú’s beaches and coastal scenery. Alternatively, cruises will also sail from vibrant Rio de Janeiro to the elegant town of Búzios.
And from the rich history of Recife to the Afro-Brazilian rhythms of Salvador, each stop offers a unique blend of culture, beaches, and flavors. There will also be a full day at sea to relax and recharge while sailing through tropical waters.
With its official debut in Brazil, Corazul brings aboard Buenavista Mediterranean style, shared experiences, and unique itineraries, offering a cruise season defined by comfort, culture, and fun—even beyond the Mediterranean.
