Margaritaville at Sea has taken a further step in its growth and operational development journey by signing a ten-year agreement with technology group Wärtsilä.
The partnership, based on a ship lifecycle management program, has been designed to ensure the highest standards of maintenance, reliability, and efficiency, while supporting the cruise line’s expansion ambitions.

The agreement involves the vessels already in service, Margaritaville at Sea Paradise and Margaritaville at Sea Islander, and will also be extended to the new Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber, which is scheduled to enter service by the end of the year. The agreements covering the first two ships were registered by Wärtsilä in the first quarter of 2026, while the agreement for the third vessel will be finalized in the coming months.
Margaritaville at Sea is recognized for maintaining particularly high technical standards, with a strong focus on preventive maintenance, engineering excellence, and the continuous optimization of vessel performance. This new agreement further strengthens these capabilities through structured lifecycle planning and advanced technical support.
The partnership includes a comprehensive ship lifecycle management program, providing long-term maintenance assistance and customized technical services tailored to the specific operational requirements of each vessel. The goal is to enhance fleet reliability, optimize maintenance planning, and ensure increasingly high standards of operational efficiency.
The new Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber will also be equipped with Wärtsilä’s advanced digital platform, Wärtsilä Expert Insight, a solution that enables continuous monitoring of onboard systems and the use of predictive analytics to identify potential issues at an early stage. This approach will further improve vessel performance, reduce downtime, and maximize overall operational efficiency.
Minas Miliaras, Chief Maritime Officer (CMO) of Margaritaville at Sea, highlighted how the new agreement represents further confirmation of the company’s commitment to maintaining the highest operational standards across its fleet. He emphasized that the brand’s vessels are managed with constant attention to reliability, efficiency, and performance, and that the collaboration with Wärtsilä will further strengthen the company’s ability to deliver high-level operations while optimizing vessel performance and long-term value.
Andrea Morgante, Vice President, Performance Services at Wärtsilä Marine, also highlighted the importance of the partnership, explaining that Lifecycle Agreements have been developed specifically to support operators who place operational excellence and reliability among their strategic priorities. Morgante also noted that Margaritaville at Sea has demonstrated a strong commitment to maintaining a highly efficient fleet, expressing Wärtsilä’s satisfaction in supporting the company throughout its growth journey and in achieving its operational objectives.
This partnership supports Margaritaville at Sea’s broader strategy, focused on investing in high-quality operations, improved efficiency, and long-term fleet reliability, while ensuring guests enjoy a consistent and seamless travel experience supported by strong operational performance.
