Port of Seville: The New 2026 Cruise Season
The new 2026 cruise season kicks off at the Port of Seville with a new chapter under the management of Global Ports Holding (GPH) and Ocean Platform Marinas (OPM), in collaboration with the Port Authority of Seville.
This marks the beginning of a 20-year partnership between GPH and OPM, which will oversee cruise and megayacht operations at the port. Around 90 calls are expected in the city throughout the year, including the Belle de Cadix, for which Seville will serve as the home port. Additionally, four cruise ships will call at the city for the first time.

With the arrival of the 180-meter-long Azamara Journey, the cruise season at the Port of Seville officially begins. Onboard are 670 passengers, primarily from the United States and Canada, along with 400 crew members, who will enjoy an extended two-night stay in the heart of this historic city.

SEVILLA
The “Catedral de Santa María de la Sede” is one of the largest cathedrals in the world, built on the remains of a Moorish mosque (the Giralda tower was once part of this mosque). Inside, visitors can admire the treasure chest, Columbus’s tomb, and the Royal Chapel. The “Real Alcázar de Sevilla” is Seville’s Royal Palace: a complex of Moorish palaces still used today by the King of Spain. Another must-see stop is the “Plaza de España,” created for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929 to symbolize peace with the former colonies. The highlight of this Spanish square is the 52 benches adorned with Andalusian tiles, representing all the Spanish provinces.
