Description
The final newbuild in the series of 8 almost identical Fantasy Class ships for Carnival Cruise Lines, Paradise had the claim to fame in being the first fully non-smoking ship. This was quite a risk for Carnival being known as a party cruise line which tended to attract smokers and drinkers. After many years of offering a smoke-free experience, Carnival eventually relented and converted Paradise to the same smoking policy as the rest of the fleet. Paradise had a central theme like all Joe Farcus designed ships, and hers was Ocean Liners. Lounges and certain aspects of the décor were modeled after ocean liners of the past.
