Description
The barge Belmond Lilas was launched in the summer of 2017. It has a length of 39 meters and a width of 5 meters. Cruise itineraries are along French rivers and canals in the Champagne and Alsace regions. There are "food and wine" themed itineraries, including private visits to family-owned breweries, vineyards and chateaus.
Along the canal, barge passengers can visit small towns and quaint villages, including Saverne and Lutzelbourg, before exploring Strasbourg. The riverboat is designed to reflect the tones of the flower (lilac) it represents. The barge has an open deck that evokes the sense of a floating garden, with a pool surrounded by plants. Accommodating only 8 passengers in 4 cabins, the vessel offers an intimate experience with exclusive personalized service.
