Description
The Belmond Hirondelle barge, built in 1928, is a former Dutch merchant ship that was converted into a "hotel" barge in 1992. In 2002, Hirondelle was refurbished again. The barge is 39 meters long and 5 meters wide and can accommodate up to 8 passengers in its 4 cabins. It cruises in the south of Burgundy and in the Franche-Comté region famous for its vineyards.
On board there is a salon (lounge and bar), solarium with Jacuzzi and sunbeds. The ship is equipped with air conditioning and the crew is composed of 5 people: chef, tour guide, hostess, skipper (Captain).
