A Safari That Stays With You

Boarding the Zambezi Queen was one of those experiences that truly stays with you. I wouldn’t describe it as just a cruise, but as a different way of experiencing Africa, slower, more authentic, more real. I still remember the sense of peace as I watched elephants crossing the river from the balcony of my cabin. No noise, no crowds, just the sound of the water and nature unfolding right in front of me. In those moments, I felt incredibly privileged. Each small-boat excursion brought a new emotion. I never knew what I was going to see, and that sense of anticipation made everything even more special. There was no rush, no pressure just time to observe, breathe, and be surprised. For me, the Zambezi Queen was exactly that: an intimate and meaningful experience, one that slows you down and makes you feel part of the landscape. A journey that doesn’t just show you nature, but allows you to truly connect with it.

An incredible Safari Cruise

The small ship was lovely. There were many seats available and the food was very good. Our cabin was small but well appointed with lots of space and a fantastic, friendly and always available canonist. The rest of the crew was the same. Always available to help and meet your needs. The ship offered day trips early in the morning to see the birds at dawn. The experience is amazing, it is a real Safari.the tours were great as were the guides, the staff could not have been better, and the lodge itself is very nice. Safari's started each day at 6 AM and concluded with an afternoon safari. Here we saw four of the big five, missing only the leopard but the guide tried his hardest to find one. I definitely recommend it!
