A Remarkable Journey Through the Wilds of Alaska
This time, I chose the Seven Seas Explorer almost entirely for the itinerary. I wanted to see Alaska without feeling like I was on an overly structured trip, and I think it was the right choice. Sailing past Hubbard Glacier was the most memorable moment, but I also really enjoyed Sitka and Skagway. In Skagway, I took an excursion along the White Pass, and it was absolutely worth it. What I liked most about the ship was the peaceful atmosphere. After spending the day on excursions, it was nice to come back onboard, enjoy attentive service, and simply take in the scenery. The food was also very good overall, especially at the specialty restaurants. It wasn’t a perfect cruise in every respect, but for me, the main goal was to experience Alaska, and in that sense, I was very happy with the trip.
