The Silver Moon: delivered by Fincantieri in Ancona


The Silver Moon, the new flagship of Silversea Cruises and second of three ships on order from Fincantieri, was delivered this morning in Ancona.

Preceded by the beautiful Silver Muse, launched in 2017 in Sestri Ponente, the Silver Moon was delivered to the owners and is now awaiting to find out the itineraries it will sail. With 298 luxury cabins, and a maximum of 596 guests on board, the Silver Moon is a medium-small unit and weighs 40,700 tons.

This is the ninth ship in the Silversea Cruises fleet, which recently became part of the Royal Caribbean Corporation. The Silver Moon will contribute to the modernization of the fleet and the trend towards the highest-level of service. The S.A.L.T. Program will be implemented on board, dedicated to the discovery of food and wine and cuisine culture in general. The ship exudes elegance and has welcoming spaces, with modern features and classic furnishings in the company’s unmistakable style.

The certification for “Green Star 3 Design” stands out among the ship’s other certifications. This certificate, just like the one given to its twin unit the Silver Muse, was awarded thanks to the attention given to protecting the environment and noise containment on board.

The Silver Moon will begin its journey in the next few days towards the United States will awaiting the remaking of the fleet’s itineraries currently underway.
