Spirit of Adventure: installation of the interiors will begin

The Spirit of Adventure, the new Saga Cruises unit, left the Meyer Werft shipyards in Germany today. This is the second ship to be built here for the English company and it will be moved to a dock to proceed with the installation of the interiors.

The Spirit of Adventure was originally due to enter into service this August, but the Covid-19 pandemic has pushed the delivery date back to November.

Nigel Blanks, CEO of Saga Cruises, had this to say: “This is a very exciting day because we are one step closer to having the Spirit of Adventure join our fleet. In the past 18 months, we have focused on creating a boutique style cruise experience for our guests that is different from those already offered on the market. The arrival of the Spirit of Discovery last year was the beginning of this project and that ship was very well received by guests. I am confident that the Spirit of Adventure will have just as warm a welcome and I can’t wait to have guests join us on board to enjoy everything this new ship has to offer.”

The Spirit of Adventure will be reserved, just like the other ships in the fleet, exclusively for adult passengers and will propose itineraries that are mostly departing from Great Britain.
